Privacy
PlayCase Arcade has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, in the app or in its games. Your saves and settings stay on your iPhone. Every game comes with the app, so it doesn’t download anything. The only thing that ever leaves your iPhone is an online race, if you start one (below), and none of it is linked to you.
What stays on your iPhone
- Saves and settings (progress, faceplate, sound and haptics) are stored only on your iPhone, and are included in your iPhone’s own backups.
- PlayCam uses the camera only while it’s open. Photos stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share them.
- Groove Case songs stay on your iPhone unless you choose to export or share them.
- Tilt steering (in games that offer it) reads your iPhone’s motion sensor only while the game is open and tilt is on. The readings never leave your iPhone.
Online races
Some games, like Acceleracing, let you race a friend online. Hosting or joining a race connects the game to its race server, moto.shelbyklein.com, which pairs two players by a four-letter room code and passes their messages to each other. Solo races never go online.
- What it carries: the racer name and kart color you choose, the race settings, your kart’s position and progress during the race, and finish times. Your opponent sees these.
- What it keeps: rooms exist only in the server’s memory while you’re racing. Races, names and results aren’t stored or tied to you. The server may log when a room opens, closes or is joined.
- Like any server, it and its network provider (Cloudflare) see your IP address to connect you.
